Allied Health
GENERAL PHYSICIAN AND GERIATRICIAN
Dr Gurvinder Singh Chana is a Consultant Physician and Geriatrician. He practices Internal medicine and is also specialised in the care of older patients He was conferred with the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Geriatric Medicine in 2018. He is passionate about a holistic approach to Geriatric care. His special interests include memory assessment (cognitive assessment), management of Dementia & Delirium, BPSD (Behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia) management and Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment (CGA).
PATHOLOGY SERVICE
Pathology service means you can have blood tests or other pathology done without leaving the clinic.
PSYCHOLOGY SERVICE
Psychologist can assist you with any mental health concerns you have, depression, anxiety, if you need someone to talk to or are worried about someone you love.
PODIATRY SERVICE
Podiatrist can assist you with (but not limited to): nail and skin care, ingrown toe nail surgery, foot and leg pain, diabetic foot care, orthotic prescriptions, paediatric foot care etc.
DIETITIAN SERVICE
Dietitian offers tailored nutrition plans to support you in meeting your nutrition goals and manage a range of health conditions. This includes but is not limited to: diabetes, weight management, heart disease, cholesterol, PCOS, IBS and optimising general health.
SPECIALIST -CARDIOLOGY
Offers Stress Echo cardiogram at the practice for patients at risk of Ischaemic Heart Disease.
TREATMENT ROOM
The treatment room is available for minor procedures such as:
- suturing (stitches)
- skin excisions for cancer treatment
- cryotherapy (liquid ice)
- ingrown toe nail excision
- wound dressings
- Iron infusion
Because of the longer appointment time and complex nature of some procedures (skin excisions and suturing), these procedures are PRIVATELY BILLED and incur an out of pocket fee. Patients with or without Medicare cards have their procedure and then pay the practice directly. Medicare card holders can then claim an amount back from the government towards their treatment. When you plan to have a procedure, please carry your medicare card and your Debit card with you to make the Medicare rebate immediately into your account.
